How to Press your DTF prints
This is a guide and you need to understand that every heat press is slightly different.
Cotton Shirts
1. Set heat press between 145 degs C.
2. First press the shirt for 5 seconds to remove moisture.
3. Place the film on the shirt in the position you want it.
4. Press the film with Medium to heavy pressure for 8 seconds at 145 degs C.
5. This film is instant hot peel. Once the press opens peel the film off (but keep it low to the shirt) in a fast smooth motion.
6. Then re press the shirt with baking paper or a telfon sheet over the image for 8 seconds with medium pressure.
Then you're done.
Cotton Hoodies
1. Set heat press between 155 degs C.
2. First press the shirt for 5 seconds to remove moisture.
3. Place the film on the shirt in the position you want it.
4. Press the film with Medium to heavy pressure for 8 seconds at 155 degs C.
5. This film is instant hot peel. Once the press opens peel the film off (but keep it low to the shirt) in a fast smooth motion.
6. Then re press the shirt with baking paper or a telfon sheet over the image for 8 seconds with medium pressure.
Then you're done.
Polyester Shirts
1. Set heat press to 130 degs C.
2. First press the shirt for 2 seconds.
3. Place the film on the shirt in the position you want it.
4. Press the film with Medium pressure for 8 seconds at 130 degs C.
5. This film is instant hot peel. Once the press opens peel the film off (but keep it low to the shirt) in a fast smooth motion.
6. Then re press the shirt with baking paper or a telfon sheet over the image for 5 seconds with medium pressure.
Then you're done.
Stubby Holders
1. Set heat press to 120 degs C.
2. First press the Stubby holder for 4 seconds.
3. Place the Print on the stubby holder in the position you want it.
4. Press the print with Medium pressure for 8 seconds at 120 degs C.
5. This film is instant hot peel. So as soon as the press opens peel the film off in a fast smooth motion.
6. Then re press the Stubby holder with baking paper or a telfon sheet over the print for 8 seconds.
Then you're done.
Wash Inside Out, No More Than 40°C
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY
Do Not Iron Directly onto The Print
Its recommended
- Waiting 24 hours after pressing, before washing.
- Use of fabric softeners or chemicals can damage the print and can dull the colours.
- For best results when air-drying your garments, leave them inside out from the washing machine until dry this avoids any UV damage if drying In direct sunlight.
